Time for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge and this week we were to use a bug on our card or any kind of critter that "bugs" us.
I am not usually one for stories but this one has to have one.
When we moved into our home almost 10 years ago, London, Ontario had this infestation of some sort of aphid so they trucked in all these ladybugs to eat them.
Well the first spring that we were here, the sun is shining, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood and I go upstairs to clean the bedrooms. I walked into my son's room (he had gone to school) and the walls, his bed, the windows were covered in ladybugs. Hundreds, thousands of them... They had decided to hibernate in our home over the winter and then out them come when the sun shines.
Scared me half to death when I walked in... The bedroom across the hall was the same. Many many ladybugs just crawling everywhere.. Then they would just pop up all over the house. On my stove, the counter, while we were watching TV - one would just fly onto your shoulder. They were like pets!!!
Needless to say, the vacuum cleaner was always at the ready and we still get them but not like that year. So ladybugs BUG me!!
This card opens up on the left and right sides and the inside is covered in ladybugs too.
Have a fabulous day!!!
Don't forget to check out Sharon's site HERE for all the links to her design team. These ladies are so creative.. It will be fun to see what they come up with.

AHHHHH! That is the funniest story ever!!! I can NOT imagine that! And, you know what? I've never heard of anyone being bugged by a ladybug!! I knew you were one unique chick!! :-) Have a great weekend girlie!
Oh, we have ladybugs like that in our house, too, but not in the thousands!!! This is such a cute card anyway! TFS!

This is adorable, Janine. As much as I LOVE ladybugs, it's only the "image" of a ladybug, not the bug itself. LOL I would have freaked if I had them in my house like that! Yikes! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!
Very Cute! Can you imagine? I would be scared to eat anything with all of those ladybugs everywhere! You never know where they could hide!
LOL! Cute story:) This card is adorable!!

Wow - that is crazy. I guess it's better than any other bug though. Great job with the challenge - this card is so cute.
Eeeeewww! I don't mind ladybugs, but an infestation of them would send me over the bend! Your card is wonderful and so cute...goes perfect with your story, although it was not very cute at all!
Yeah, they are little stinkers! I love your card! This is one of my fav stamp sets! Great job!
So cute!
They did the same thing where I live and most times we are consumed with them.
Love these ladybugs! Thanks for sharing! What a cute card! :)
I too had those bugs all over the place but thank goodness that was a couple years back and they have not returned. I also did ladybugs for the challenge. Maybe we are chaneling our thoughts. Have a fun weekend. Pat
Ugh! I would not be able to sleep, Janine! Your card is really cute, and definitely "buggy!" Have a great weekend!
Such cute little ladybugs card !
OMG! O.k, I like ladybugs, BUT if I ever walked into a room where the walls were covered in them...well I'd be with you girl! Not liking them so much anymore! Too funny. I have my own bug story on my blog today, and I had no idea Sharon's challenge was about bugs...I will have to make a card for her challenge now! lol
A few years back there was a lady bug swarm. I found them by the hundreds in the playground. My signature as a kid was lady bugs, my embroidered lady bugs on my aprons and other clothing. I have some for my DD. She also love lady bugs.
Very adorable card.....and the one below with the butterfly is gorgeous too.

Cute ladybug card!! I enjoyed your story too! Glad you don't get as many bugs as you used to!! :)
That is hilarious! My 3 girls just love ladybugs and would be in their GLORY if their room was filled with them!
