STAMP SIMPLY CELEBRATES***

Hi everyone!! Just a note*** Everyone can PLAY*** If you are uploading to SCS use the keyword SSC08*** Just be sure to link back here so I know that you participated...

Are you ready for a party?? Are you ready for candy and cookies and boxes and tags??? Sharon Johnson from NO TIME TO STAMP is celebrating one million hits on her blog and is having a party with her design team, friends and any one else who would like to participate. There are wonderful projects galore and blog candy and just some wonderful festive fun!!!

You will have to check out Sharon's blog every day for the next twelve days HERE for the details!! It will be so much fun!!!

I happen to be hosting a COOKIE RECIPE EXCHANGE*** If you want to participate here are the details.

1. Choose your favorite cookie/bar recipe.
2. Bake them up.
3. Package them up nice and pretty...in a box or a bag or something you have created.
4. Add a tag or a card.
5. Post the recipe and the packaged cookies on your blog and let me know that you have participated.
6. You have a week to complete and post your project.
7. I will choose a winner for the blog candy posted below on Sunday December 7th at 6:00pm.
8. After all is said and done I will collect the posted recipes and put them in a .pdf file for you to copy if you wish.

Here is mine*** I made choclate pecan bars and used a simple white box from our local party store to show them off. I stamped the lid with a snowflake image in light blue colorbox ink.
I found this ribbon at Michael's that mimicked the snowflakes on the box. I then added the little snowflake tag punched with Marvy punches and covered in Diamond Dust. I added a button and some twine and some little leaves from a Martha Stewart punch.

Here's my recipe for Chunky pecan bars***

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup cold butter cubed

In a small bowl, combine the flour and sugar. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Press into a greased 9 x 13 pan and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden.

In a large bowl combine

3 eggs

3/4 cup white sugar

3.4 cup corn syrup

2 T. butter melted

1 t. vanilla extract

1 3/4 cups semisweet choclate chunks

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Blend well and pour over crust. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 35o degrees until set. Cool completely and cut into bars. Yummy***

Here is what you could win!!! Bake them up, package them up and show them off!! Good luck everyone and don't forget to check out Sharon's blog HERE for lots of details, games, candy, and lots of ideas for this coming festive season***

There's a tin to alter, peel off stickers, micro beads, 2 colors of flock, ribbon charms, flower charms, mini index tabs, stampbord pieces, flower gems, Adirondack ink in Cloudy Blue, fastenator staples, and a pile of 6x6 papers and you never know what else might get thrown in for good measure.

HAVE FUN EVERYONE***

Don't forget to check out these ladies' creations for my challenge...

Well, it's confession time. I've been "lurking" on your blog for about a month now, and I'm hooked! Your cookie recipe exchange was too good an idea not to participate in, so I've made some cookies, decorated my box and linked back to you.

Here is the link to the recipe: http://ambersantics.blogspot.com/2007/12/dipped-gingersnaps.html They are the same cookies, I just didn't get time to dip them and now they are GONE!! I will have to make another batch and dip those.

It said everyone can play - well I don't have a camera or phone that takes photos - so I can show it off? Oh well, so I won't win the great box of stuff. The recipes sounds great so I guess that will be my reward! Loved the box too. Thanks for some great ideas. Maybe Santa will bring us a camera-somehow I doubt it! I don't have a blog either. I do have a computer though!!! Thanks for sharing.

Your cookies look fab!! I loved participating in this, the only bad thing is I did all this work and I the cookies were gone in about 10 minutes!! I have four small children (four under four) and a hungry hubby so homemade treats don't last long around my house...I think you should include your cookies in the prize and if I win, I might actually get a cookie :), Thank you so much for posting this challenge, I really enjoyed it and it was a reminder to me that it's fun to make yummy things, and that I need to do so more often.

Your cookies look yummy! I had a really good time baking and coming up with a design for the packaging, not that the box really mattered, the entire batch was gone in about 10 minutes, I have four children (four under age four:) and a hungry hungry hubby, that inhaled the cookies to quick, some of them never even hit the box, so I want to thank you for posting this challenge, I had a lot of fun, and it reminded me to do this more often and enjoy the little simple pleasures of life!!
