Bright Birthday Wishes***

This set is from Inkadinkado and I stamped the images in Black archival ink randomly over the bottom piece of water color paper. I colored the flowers with Tombow markers and water and then cut out along the top part.

I added some stickles and some beads to the center of the flowers and used Spellbinders Petite ovals for the sentiments along with some purple crystals. The ovals are attached with purple grosgrain ribbon from Stampin Up.

Have a great day everyone and thanks so much for stopping by ***

I am Thinking of YOU ***

This is a tag card that I think I saw on Splitcoaststampers quite some time ago and just thought I would use it as my template for this card.
I also used a floral image from Stampendous and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.
I stamped the image in Sepia Versafine ink and just dotted in some color with Copics.
I adde some glitter and distressed the ivory cardstock a little with Antique Linen ink.
The tag is in the front pocket and you could add a gift card in the back pocket for someone's birthday.
Have a great Sunday everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!!!

This is a pic of the tag out of the card***

I am Feelin' Thinner ***

This is another stamp from "American Art Stamps". They are hysterical and I did this one up quickly. Could be a 10 minute card ***

I stamped the image and embossed it in black. I watercolored the funky lady's dress and hat and then layered her onto cardstock of co-ordinating colors. I added some organza ribbon and some flower gems and it's a done deal.

Now don't ya feel thinner?? !!! ***

Have a great day everyone!!

Watercolored Daisies ***

One of my nephews and his girlfriend bought a new home and this is the card that I made for them. It is much larger than any of the cards I usually make.. The card base being a 7" x 5" Strathmore watercolor card. I used a piece that I had cut down from an earlier card and stamped these floral images from Stampin Up in black archival ink.
I used Tombow markers to watercolor the images and the background and then layered to hot pink and blue cardstock and then an olive green.. I added some light green dew drops to the corners. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado I think... I will check and make sure later. I am off to work now.. running out the door as I type !!!
Well I should be anyway..
Have a great day everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!! ***

Be very Afraid ***

If you don't like fussing and if you don't like layers then look away ***
I had time this afternoon to fuss so I did ***
Stamp Art got these fabulous stamps from "American Art Stamps" in yesterday. Actually I have been waiting for them to come in because I think they are just the most wonderful images.
Not for everyone but I think they are so unusual.
I stamped this image called "Picking Daisies"on white cardstock, in black archival ink and colored her with Copic markers. I stamped the flowers twice and cut out a few and popped them up, adding stickles to the centers. I then looked in my stash of designer papers and started layering. Lots of layers, that matched the colors I used to ink up the flower lady.
The sentiment is from Impression Obsession, used especially for my friend Julie !!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

Jungle Fever ***

Well I have been a very bad girl!!! This card was supposed to be made and in the mail last week but I forgot!!! It is for a friend's son who has just turned one...
This is made with a clear set from Hero Arts.
I stamped the little vine all the way across the top of the card and added some leaves. I added the monkeys and then colored them and the leaves with Copic markers.
The grasses are from Art Impressions and the sentiment is from Hero Arts - same set.
I sponged a little sepia colored ink all around the oval and the outside of the card and added some green satin ribbon.
Thank you sooooooooo much for stopping by all the time and taking the time to browse and comment... I love it!!! Have a wonderful day !!

Basket Full of Happiness ***

Yesterday was such a wonderful day!!! I received, in the mail, my swap images from my SBS5 sisters. They were all wonderful and this one is from Julie so I had to get it done up right away!!
The image is from Gina K. Designs. I colored it with my Copic markers and punched it out with a large circle punch and then attached it to a scallop circle. I added some white dots with my Signo Pen and then added it to layers of green and blue cardstock. The designer paper worked well and it is from my stash.. The dew drops and stickles add just the right amount of sparkle...
Thanks Julie !! I LOVE it !!
I also received some recipes and a magazine from Pat !! The recipes sound awesome and I will be trying them soon. Thanks Pat !!
Have a great day everyone!!! Don't forget about the Pay It Forward... I already have one person signed up *** I need two more!!!

Yummy Cupcakes ***

Just a little more inchie fun!!! Stamp Art just received a whole bunch of mini clear sets from Hero Arts and this cupcake was in one of them. Just the perfect size for an inch square of paper.
I stamped them on white cardstock with Black archival ink and colored them with Tombow markers... The gemstone flowers come with the set so I added those to the top.. along with some glitter on the icing.
The "yummy" sentiment is also in the kit and was stamped on the tag which I just then drew some purple grosgrain ribbon through and under ** I added some flower gemstones to the sentiment as well... Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by *** I have so much fun reading all the comments and meeting some fabulous people !!!

Inchie Birthday ***

Here is my take on the inchie craze... I used a stamp from the Lockhart Stamp Company, stamped it three times and used different parts for each one inch panel.
I colored with copics, and layered on paper that matched the D.P.
The sentiment is from Stampendous.
Check out Ellen Hutson's site for all the information regarding inchies...
Gotta run ***
Have a great day and thanks soo much for stopping in and browsing ***

The patterned dragonfly is from the Patterned Bugs clear set. I also added some dots with a red metallic glitter pen.
Have a wonderful day everyone and thanks so much for stopping by...

This card was done with an Inkadinkado clear set called Patterned Bugs... I just used Versamagic inks all over the image that matched with the paper that I used... The sentiment is from the Round Frames set, the ribbon from Michaels and the Dew Drops from Robin's Nest.

Beate's Weekend Sketch # 39

Here is my card for Beate's Weekend Sketch. I had this D.P. on my desk or what little I had left so I decided to do something quick and simple.

I layered on a sky blue piece of Prism cardstock and also ivory. The flowers are from Hero Arts Circular Designs clear set and the sentiment is also Hero Arts.

I used the slot punch on the right side and brought the ribbon up through it and tied it off. I used a couple of dot sparklers in the middle of the flowers. So simple ***

Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Easter Wishes ***

This shall be the last card with the three carrots.. Easter cards are officially done as of this weekend.
I only two more to do and get in the mail.
So this card is filling a dual purpose. It is done for Sharon's Paper Piercing Challenge and to send to my BIL & SIL for Easter.
Check out Sharon's site for her creation and Julie's site for her's..
I, again, used the scalloped card and layer that are pre-made. I then used Michelle Giraud's wonderful idea of punching out hearts and using them for scallops. See that HERE !! That is the orange layer.
I paper pierced the yellow and orange layer and then used my black metallic pen and did some faux piercing on the white layer.
The carrots are colored with copics and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!! Supposed to be sunny here... If it is there will be a pic of me in my lawnchair !!!

A "6 Carrot" Gift

We are going to friends for dinner tomorrow evening and I thought I would do two things at once. Their Easter card ( on the left) and a little gift for the hostess.. The little booklet on the right and a tin of chocolate covered espresso beans.
The image is from Karen Lockhart and is colored with Copics. I used my Nestabilities and punches to do all the circles and scallops and used this wonderful designer paper from Kira & Co. which I found at Wal-Mart.
The tin is from Papertrey as well as the little "enjoy" sentiment and the circle stamp.
I found these little softcover booklets, also at Wal-Mart which had a black cover so I just used my designer paper to change the color...Much more spring like.
Hope you enjoy your evening and thank you so much for stopping by ***

A "10 Minute" card *** sort of

As you know I work at "Stamp Art" in London, Ontario and Nancy just got a whole truckload of new stamps and paper and one of the new bits were these scallop cards. Talk about making your life easy!!
The cards come scalloped, scored in a range of colors and then there are also different colored layers.
So I chose the light yellow card and the citron green layer which I pierced . She also got these adorable images from Darcie. I stamped the image on shimmer white cardstock and paper pieced the flower and the leaves. I colored the bunny and the little lady bug with Copics and added the sentiment.
If you pierce fast and cut fast this could be a 10 minute card.
Thanks for stopping by and whoever sent the sunshine today THANKS !!! We needed it! It was a gorgeous day.

Really Spring is coming *** ?

This is a new image from Magenta. I stamped it with Black Brilliance on white cardstock and colored the image with Prisma Color pencils.
I layered the colored image onto an olive piece of cardstock that I cut out with my Nestabilities and then again onto pink cardstock.
I used gold micro beads as the centers of the flowers.
Have a wonderful day!!!
Ok so everyone making spring flowers isn't taking the snow away from here any way so maybe if we all "think" spring ****

Here is a close up of the tiny beads as the centers of the flowers.

A Spring Tote ***

Melanie Muenchinger has this great tutorial for a tote and card on her site. This is my take on the tote. I didn't cut the sides in on mine so it is more square...
It is such a fun project and would make great little favors at your Easter table. !!!
Have a great day everyone and thanks soooo much for stopping by !!

Michelle's One Sheet Wonder Challenge

Michelle Giraud has a challenge on her space at Embellish-It Scrapbooking that had you use one 12 x 12 sheet of designer paper and make as many projects as you could, including 2 cards.
I found this fun piece of designer paper in my stash and went to work.
I made a tag for the bag, which also has a strip of designer paper alond the bottom on both sides. (which you can't see)
I made a card, a bookmark, a post-it note holder out of coaster, and a matchbook tea bag holder.. This was alot of fun !!
Have a wonderful evening everyone !!

Sharon's "Fun Flap" Challenge

Sharon at "No Time to Stamp" has a great challenge this weekend called the "Fun Flap." You are to create a card front with a flap that has the sentiment or message in it.
I used a bright yellow piece of cardstock that I ran through my Cuttle Bug using the dots embossing folder.
I attached a piece of ribbon at the top and then added a simple matchbook "fun flap" that closes with a brad.
The image is from Stampendous and is colored with copics. I popped up a second flower in the middle!!
Check out Julie's creation at "Out to Impress."
Thanks Sharon.. your challenges are always fun !!

Here is a closeup of the fun flap...A simple matchbook opening with the sentiment on the inside.

Plastic Birthday Blues ***

Well we had our first hit of snow - about 4 inches - and now we are waiting for the second round... We are supposed to get another 20 cm by this afternoon.
Anyway *** Stamp Art is the local stamp store that I work and teach at and this past week, Nancy and Arn had a huge order come in. All kinds of wonderful stamps from Outlines, Stampendous, and Heidi Grace but one of the neatest things were these little pieces of plastic.
The sheets are about 6" x 4" and are covered on both sides with a protective film.
You peel it off and I ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Happy Birthday folder. It embosses these sheets beautifully. Nice and crisp.
I used my alcohol inks and did a bluish background with some silver and then placed the embossed plastic over top and attached it in several places using some small brads. I didn't try my alcohol inks directly on the plastic yet but that's next. Something new and different to play with !!
Have a happy Saturday and thanks so much for stopping by.!!!

Here is a closeup of the embossed image.

Oh ** Those Crazy Chicks ***

Stampendous has this clear set called "Holiday Chick" and you stamp the chick and then dress her up!! Well since it is Easter, the little chick is wearing her bunny ears and carrying her basket full of eggs.
I stamped her three times with Black Brilliance and colored her with Copics.
I layered the image up with Easter colors and added a sentiment from Papertrey using the Cuttlebug Mini Tags.
Have a great day everyone !! We have our shovels at the ready for another huge dump of snow.*** Thanks for stopping by..

Pretty flowers ***

Laura from Scrapnextras has a wonderful site and her work is awesome. She has done a few cards with this set from Stampin Up which are beautiful. My set has remained uninked until this morning !!
I stamped the hello portion of the set with black Adirondack ink onto white cardstock. I colored the images with Copic markers and did two extra of the larger flower.. They were popped up to give the flower a little added dimension.
I found this D.P. from PSX Papier which fit well with the colors and then went ahead and layered.
The card base is Double Mate paper from World Win and was the perfect fit for all the layers.
Thanks for stopping by today !!
Have a great day !!!

Here is a closeup of the lovely little flower that I popped up twice.

"Women of Life" Thankyou

My niece and her husband sent us some beautiful photos of their wedding that was this past September so I made her this Thank you card using the new "Women of Life" set created by Melissa Bickford for Papertrey Ink.
I stamped the stems and flowers with Versamagic Chalk inks and added the sentiment as well.
I added some glitter in the center of the flowers and then matted everything with cardstock that matched the inks and designer paper, which is from a stash sent to me by Beate.
Have a great day everyone !!!
We have got MEGA snow here today, it isn't stopping !! Maybe if we all make cards with flowers spring will arrive soon. !!!

Here's a closeup of the pretty glitter on the flowers.

Celebrate ***

I started out with a piece of cardstock that was on my worktable and added inks directly to the paper. I let that dry and added the branch from Stampin Up's Embrace Life set.
I added a tag from Spellbinders that I cut out with my Cuttlebug and also another oval that I added on top with a dimensional.
The sentiment is from Papertrey and the ribbon from Michael's, the crystals from Outlines Rubber Stamps.
I layered to co-ordinating cardstock and added a few dots on the copper layer of cardstock.
Oh yes , a little copper glitter pen to some of the leaves on the branches.
Have a great day everyone and thanks so much for stopping by today !!!

I stamped the carrot on white cardstock, colored it with Copics, and layered it on colored cardstock and then mounted them on all four sides of the basket. I added some orange glitter pen around the carrots as well..
The card is done the same way.
So simple !!!
Have a great day everyone and thank you so much for stopping in !!

Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge

Sharon's challenge this weekend was to make a purse.
Well *** Last weekend when we were heading to Toronto for my Mom's birthday, I had made this purse for my niece *** (she's 6). I always make her a little something when I see her BUT I forgot to take it with me so when I read Sharon's challenge I thought I would use it here.
It actually is a template from DejaViews. I used a piece of designer paper that had sparklies in it and that was also two sided so the panel on the front is just the back of the paper that I used for the purse itself. I cut it out and added the ribbon for the handle.
The prima flowers were attached with yellow brads.
My niece's initial was then stamped on ivory cardstock with a circle border from Papertrey Ink added.
She will get it the next time I see her***but for now ........................
Check out what Julie (my new best cyber friend) did !! Her work is gorgeous!!
