***Time to Share***

Susan Scott and Louise Austin, two wonderful women that I know, made these beautiful birthday cards for me... Louise stamped a design from Tim Holtz on acetate and used acrylic paint dabbers for color. The flowers are plastic and come in containers of all different shapes and sizes. Susan's card is a split negative and the sentiment is on a silver tag attached with wonderful yellow ribbon. Louise runs a fun card morning on Tuesday's so we all had cake with chocolate and strawberries and it was DELICIOUS!!! Lucky me!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening... ***

SSNOTIME32 *** OUT OF THE BOX ***

It is Friday and it's time for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge *** Today we had to think and stamp "out of the box". This was a fun challenge. When I found out about it I immediately went to my craft room, sat down in the middle of the floor, with boxes of stamps, buckets of stamps and started looking for something that I could use as something else. When I saw this hat from Inkadinkado I just turned it around and thought what a nice bowl this would make. I collect bowls so it was a definite go with this stamp.
I stamped the hat/bowl in Sepia Versafine ink on white cardstock and then added the flowers/candies/fruit in colors of purples, blues and pinks in Versamagic inks. I then used Antique Linen distress ink to make the white cardstock look a little older and I also roughed up the edges. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and I added some ribbon on the two corners. The main image was layered onto some pale blue and light purple cardstock and then onto some brown Prism cardstock. Of course I added a few dew drops just for good measure.
Give this challenge a try! Give those brain cells a little exercise!! Have a great weekend everyone and check out Sharon's site for her fabulous creation as well as links to all the other talented women on this team.

SUNSHINE***

Stampendous has these cute little clipboards just waiting to be decorated... This is the largest of the three sizes. I simply used some designer paper that was in my stash and applied it with Metal glue. I sanded the edges and rounded the corners.
The sun images are also from Stampendous called "Sun Trio". One of the suns I stamped directly onto the D.P. and the other sun I stamped onto yellow scrap and cut them out then attached them..
The sentiment is from Stampendous as well called "Summer messages".
I made this as a quick gift for a friend who is havin us for dinner tonight.
Have a great day everyone and THANK YOU for stopping by ***

Celebrate***

Hi everyone!! I took a piece of white linen, a mini daisy mask from Heidi Swap, some distress inks in blue china and shabby shutters and used them to create the white daisy flowers on the large and small piece.
I layered to dark teal, a lime green (although it looks olive here) because it is dark out.
Then layered to white and then a dark teal card base. I added a hodge podge piece, with a sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Anniversary set and attached it with some satin ribbon.
I added a few dew drops as well which now that I look at them, should be on the other side.
Next time!!! ***
Have a fab evening and a good sleep *** Pillow

Double Pocket ***

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We did *** One of my very best friends and her husband were here from Montreal for the weekend and we just had a fabulous time together. The weather was gorgeous. We sat outside most of the time and enjoyed the sunshine.
After they left yesterday I was able to do a little gardening, a little laundry and start getting things ready for my older son's move to his new apartment.
May is just a crazy month for us with birthdays and anniversaries so I put together this fun double pocket card for one of my nieces. The paper is from Daisy Bucket Designs and you can find a great tutorial for the card HERE.
There is a pic down below of the tags. One of the is a Daisy Bucket clear stamp, and one is from Hero Arts. The sentiments that is.. I added some small Prima flowers and when I send the card I will add a little gift card as well. This card comes together very quickly and is a great way to use that wonderful double sided paper that we all have.
Have a great day everyone!! I am off to work ***

*** More Exciting News *** and SSNOTIME 31

The very talented Sharon from "No Time to Stamp" has asked me to be a part of her Stamp Simply Sample Team!!! I very graciously accepted and will be part of a very talented group of women.

Julie , Dee, Tammy, Jennifer, and Becky have some wonderful cards and projects on their blogs. Keep an eye out every Friday for Sharon's challenge and what we all come up with. Hopefully this will get everyone's creative juices flowing and you can have some fun with the challenge.

This Friday's challenge SSNOTIME 31 is to "Use Black as an Accent" on your card. What is nice about Sharon's challenges is that they are very simple. Not many rules and simplicity is best!

Here is my card *** I used a soft pink for the card base and stamped the dots in black archival ink. The dots are a Penny Black image. I stamped the bird house, from Inkadinkado, in black archival ink as well and then used my rectangle Nestability to emboss around the image and then layer on black suede paper.
I added some black satin ribbon just above the dots and then used some foam tape to add the birdhouse image.

Sweet and simple *** Have a great weekend everyone.

I will be working with a number of other women whose work is wonderful. Michelle Giraud is the co-ordinator and I will also be working with Kirsten DuBosque, Cindy Haffner and Amy Rohl, who both have fabulous galleries on Splitcoast Stampers.
I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone creates and to working with the images that American Art Stamps produces.

Birthday Wishes ***

Some images just need to be stamped in black and this new one from Inkadinkado did ***
I also got out my alcohol inks, which I don't do very often... I used Wild Plum, Sante Fe Red and a pinky color for the background and then stamped the image three times... The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the dew drops are carnation.
I wrapped a section of black satin ribbon around the spine of the card as well.
Have a great evening everyone!! and thanks so much for stopping by!!

Glitter Cupcakes ***

Have a fabulous day everyone ***

Sharon at No Time to Stamp has a challenge this weekend to use glitter on your card... Glitter is on my cupcakes!!
This cardbase is stamped with Inkadinkado's Circles and Dots and then I used the Cupcake image from Kim Bowles collection at American Art Stamps. Colored it with Copics, colored a few extra cupcakes and popped them up with dimensionals and also popped up the heart. I added a few dot sparklers and then layered onto pink and lime green cardstock. I also added dew drops in the corners.

New Baby ***

My husband has family that live in Florida and his cousin's daughter had a baby boy the other day so this is the card that I am sending.
The card is simple on the outside. I punched a circle and then matched the next size up for the little frame around it. I added two strips of blue grosgrain ribbon and a few blue dew drops.
The inside houses the baby carriage which is an image from Outlines Rubber Stamp Company. See the stamp HERE. I colored it with Copics and added a whole whack of crystals.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!

Here's a little peak at the baby carriage inside the card.

One Lifetime ***

This card was made for my parents who are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary today.
They got the card in the mail so I can post it now.
It was made with a clear set from Verve Visual called Anniversary Birds.
I stamped them with Versamagic inks and Sepia versafine and paper pieced the one bird with the same paper that I used to layer. I used the blue Versamagic ink to stamp the little branch in the background.
The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Sepia ink and cut out using the Petite circle and scallop ovals from Nestabilities.
I used some brads to hold the ovals together and popped it up above the two love birds.
I distressed the white cardstock so it wasn't so bright and then layered on some sky blue and brown prism papers. I used some lovely satin ribbon from Papertrey Ink and wrapped it around the three layers before adhering to the designer paper and the other layers.
Enjoy your day everyone and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY MOM AND DAD!! LOVE YOU BOTH!!! ***

SPRING ***

I made this card for a friend that has a seed packet enclosed for her garden. The colors are unusual for spring but I thought they worked... And I apologize for the lack of crispness in this photo!
I used distress inks in Marigold and Fired brick to stamp the images which are from Inque Boutique. I then used a slot punch to wind this wonderful silk ribbon in orange and red around the front of the card. I layered in similar colors and Voila! A spring card to be sent in the morning!!
Have a wonderful evening everyone and thank you for stopping by!!!

The seed packet inside the card!!!

CELEBRATE ***

This is a clear set from Inkadinkado... I first distressed ivory cardstock with Peeled Paint and Broken China Distress inks. I used a piece of white felt to apply the ink.
I stamped the large cupcake directly onto the cardstock twice and then a third time onto a scrap piece of ivory cardstock and then cut it out.
Copics were used to color the cupcake liner and then I used some lime green glitter for the icing.

I used the tags from Spellbinders in my Cuttlebug and then added the Celebrate sentiment . A dew drop was used as an embellishment. I placed the tag on top of a piece of scrap ribbon.

I layered again on a scrap of D.P. and then onto lime green prism cardstock and teal Bazzill.

Have a great evening everyone!!! ***

Sometimes ***

you just have to clean up what is on your desk and when you do a card just happens to appear out of the mess.
I HAD to clean up my work table because I could not see anything!! So this card is the result of scraps and bits and pieces left over from some recent other creations.
The designer papers all just seemed to work so I layered away and added a sentiment that I had yet to clean off . The prima was also laying by itself ( on the floor of all places) so I added it as well.
Have a great day everyone and thanks so much for stopping by... ***

Funky Birthday Flowers***

Hello everyone!!! Just a glorious day here in London, Ontario. The sun is shining, the snow is melting and the robins are out in full force.
I had all these great colors in my scrap bin so I decided to use the Retro Squares cuttlebug folder( I think that's the name of it) and embossed the teal, pink and orange pieces of cardstock and then made sure they all matched up properly.
I layered onto orange and teal and then stamped the floral image from Stampendous on ivory cardstock, colored in with Copics and added Stickles.
The sentiment is from Penny Black and the satin ribbon from Michael's. So easy, so quick !! So I can get back outside in the sun.
Have a great day everyone!!! Sunny
