Christmas Stitchery***

I start back into punchneedle this time of the year, trying to get Christmas gifts on the go.
This is one of the Christmas stitcheries that I just finished.
Just a little something different!!
Have a fabulous evening!

A Tag Book***

I made this tag book for a friend of mine. The template for this project can be found at
Kristine Werner's site. It is made with one half of a file folder and then covered with designer paper and all kinds of embellishments. I used some Spellbinder die cut flowers, a few quotes about friends and attached some flower eyelets so that the whole book could be tied together with ribbon. I found this idea on Kristine's site many months ago and finally got around to trying it.
The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye.
Have a great day everyone and have a happy crafting day!!!***

One Petal At A Time ***

This card is done with sets designed by Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper designs.
Blossoms and Butterflies and Blooming Expressions were the sets used.
I stamped the blossom in Black archival ink, colored with Copics and added some Scattered straw distress ink around the edges. Not too well I might add. I got a little heavy handed in spots.
The sentiment was stamped onto a Spellbinders tag run through the Cuttlebug and attached with some satin ribbon.
I added pearl drops instead of dew drops.
Have a great day everyone and thank you so much for stopping by!!

Feel Better***

A good friend of ours is in the hospital and is on the road to recovery. We are going to visit this week and I made this card to take.
I used Terrific Teal Double mate paper and cut two strips 4 1/4" x 11" and folded both in half. I fit one inside the other and then used a circle coluzzle to round the top piece of cardstock.
The image is Penny Black inked up with Versamagic inks in blues and sages. I added a sentiment from Papertrey Ink and a little linen thread..
When you open the card up there will be a place to write and we are going to attach a gift card as well ***
Have a great day everyone and thank you for stopping by.

SIMPLIFY ***

Don't we all have to do that every once and awhile***
This set is from Cornish Heritage Farms and has many different elements to it.. I stamped the sheep with Sepia Versafine ink, distressed with Antique Linen and cut out.
I stamped the tree after coloring direct to rubber with Tombow markers and then distressed all around the card with Antique Linen as well.
I did the same with the sentiment and layered onto black cardstock and then onto kraft cardstock... Oh my I added a few dew drops***
Have a good one everyone***

SSNOTIME45*** CHRISTMAS IN JULY***

Time for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge for this week and we are celebrating Christmas in July***
Take a peek at all the other beautiful creations by hooking up to the links on SHARON'S site.
I love this clear set by Stampendous. It includes 4 or 5 trees and some flakes, which I stamped and embossed in gold on some beautiful paper that I had in my Christmas stash.
I layered to a piece of brushed gold paper and onto navy linen, added a navy satin ribbon (YUM) and used a sentiment from Papertrey Ink also embossed in gold.
Simple Simple*** but navy and gold are effective at Christmas ***
Have fun looking at everyone else's work and have a fabulous weekend... *** MERRY CHRISTMAS ***

Congrats***

My brother in law just proposed to his girlfriend and I made this card for them. As I said in yesterday's post Becca Feeken is the inspiration for this card.
I used pink Bazzill cardstock and a Gina K. Design image colored with Copics.
I pierced around the scalloped circles which were made using nestabilities and added some lovely satin ribbon.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts. The bottom of the card is punched with the Treading Water punch by Fiskars.
Enjoy your day and thank you so much for stopping by. ***

Celebrate***

Becca Feeken is an amazingly talented lady.. Her work inspired this card and the one posted for Thursday.
You can see her work HERE!!
I used Martha Stewart's punch for the sides of the card and then simply layered blue and brown cardstock using my nestabilities for the scallop rectangle.
The image is from a set that no longer bears a name. I colored the cake with Copics and added a bit of glitter.
And of course a few dew drops. ***
Have a great day everyone!!!

A Home is blessed with family and friend ***

I made this for my parents whose friends' have moved. I saw the idea for the key chain on Cammie's blog and thought it was a great idea.
This card and keychain is made with the Board and Beams set by Papertrey ink.
The house is stamped in Black Brilliance and colored with Copics. The same is done with the keychain house. Notice they are indentical.
The card is very simply put together with the sentiment from the same set AND some dew drops.
The key chain is attached to a thick piece of cardboard and modge podged .. I added a large eyelet so that the ring could easily be attached for keys.
Hope you like it Mom*** It goes postal today ***

Lockhart Apron***

I just love this apron by the Lockhart Stamp Company... It is simple in design and can be adapted to any season, holiday, birthday whatever your heart desires.
It is so much fun to paper piece as well.
I stamped the image on green cardstock, found a piece of d.p. in my stash and cut it out and used a solid piece for the pocket and the towel.
I added ribbon and a Papertrey sentiment.. and dew drops of course.
Simple simple*** but fun!!!
Have a great evening everyone!!!

SSNOTIME44*** PURPLE FLOWERS

It's Friday and time again for Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge... Today we were to use purple and flowers.
Check out Sharon's site HERE to see all of the other creations and the details for this challenge should you want to participate.

I used another Papertrey set and embossed the card front with a large oval nestabilitie..I masked it off and stamped the flowers and leaves. I added the sentiment with a few dew drops (of course) and of course distressed the edges with Eggplant Envy ink from Stampin Up...

Not one of my simpler cards but I really enjoyed doing it.
I love working with nestabilities and the more I do it the better I get at it...

Have a great day everyone ***

Papertrey Ink has their July releases out and I just love their Quilters Sampler set. But since I don't have mine yet I thought I would use their Guide Lines set and see what would happen.
I like the effect. My blocks are very random. The purple paper is distressed and I added some purple grosgrain ribbon and a sentiment from Hero Arts.
I will be back when I receive my stamp sets to show you how wonderful they are.
Have a great day everyone***

Tonight I haven't a creative thought in my head so I thought I would use a few of the ATC's that I have received through several swaps that I have participated in.
The butterfly ATC is from Kanani, and the blue flowers are from Juliann. Both are SBS5 sisters and are very talented. The little pink pig is from Sharon Epstein, whose blog I don't know and the little chick is from Michelle Giraud, the twisted chick herself.
I used alot of card bases from my stash and a few bits of ribbon and designer paper that I had to create four cards...
Have a great evening everyone!!! ***

Hello***

I apologize for the blurriness of this photo. I was in a hurry and it just didn't come out the way I wanted.
But I have been outside all day! Such a glorious day! In the garden, in the pool, just relaxing.
So I got this card done and wanted to post it.
I used the Posie Doodle clear stamp set from Stampendous, stamped in Black Brilliance, and colored with Copics.
I used the Treading Water punch from Fiskars at the bottom of the green cardstock, added a purple satin ribbon and a prima... The prima was a last minute addition because I spilled glue on the ribbon so had to cover it up.
See what happens when you are in a hurry!!
Have a great night everyone!!! See you tomorrow.***

I nominate the following for a Brilliante Award

SSNOTIME42***SOMETHING GIRLIE***

Hi everyone!! It's time for Sharon's weekend Stamp Simply challenge. We were supposed to make a card that was soft and girlie...
Well I saw this stamp in one of my drawers and thought it looked very soft. The image is from Penny Black and I stamped it with a Kaleidacolor ink pad called Caribbean Sea. I stamped off in several places which is hard to see in this photo.
The verse is from Verses Stamp Company.
It is simply layered with dark blue and lime green cardstock on a base of white.
Have a fabulous weekend and don't forget to check out the other samples from Sharon's talented team... HERE

SSNOTIME42***SOMETHING GIRLIE***

This is a second card I did for Sharon's challenge this weekend. I used the apron die from Spellbinders, stamped a clear flower stamp all over, added a little pocket and some ribbon for the ties.
I adhered it to an ivory piece of cardstock which I distressed and stamped with the samer flower. I added a prima at the top and called it a day!!
What is more girlie than an apron and flowers. My grandmothers always wore aprons so this is dedicated to them***
Have a great weekend everyone!!
