SSNOTIME117***ALTER THAT STORE BOUGHT CARD

Time for Sharon's STAMP SIMPLY CHALLENGE for this week. Today we are supposed to alter a store bought card. Isn't that sacriligious in the crafting world? Having any "store bought" cards in your house?

We got one from the newspaper carrier so I thought I would attempt something with it.

Here is the original card and I do apologize for the photo. It is snowing here and dark this morning.

The card has all kinds of glitter on it as well so that made things even easier.

I thought I would cut it down and make a tag for one of the gifts I have. So here is the transformation. I added a sentiment from the Anna Wight collection to a piece of the card that I cut from the back of the card. It already had that little red snowflake on it so I just added the sentiment in black ink, added it to a red layer of cardstock and then a piece of chipboard and added a piece of ribbon. FUN!!!!!!!!

This is a better picture.. This was a great challenge.. Have fun with this one!!

Check out all the other transformations from the rest of the design team.

What a darling tag, Janine! Love how simply you made this and, YES, to have cards all glittery and sparkly to begin with is an added bonus. Way to go!

You did an outstanding job with this challenge. I also laughed at the fact that you used a card that someone had given you! That is an excellent way to not "buy" one! Perfect! Best, Curt

Awesome! I have a whole box of leftover cards from years past that I wouldn't dream of sending out now. I'm going to make tags out of them!!
