SSNOTIME72***LOVE IS IN THE AIR***

Hi everyone! Time for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge and this week LOVE is the topic of conversation AND crafting! Make a card to do with love... Valentine's Day, birthday, wedding, anniversary just make sure you add alot of LOVE!!!

My card is simple! The sentiment and hearts are from Papertrey Ink. The hearts are stamped in Razzberry Fizz ink and punched out with a heart punch that fits perfectly. I added them onto a piece of Razzberry Fizz grosgrain ribbon along with a button from my button box that matched. The sentiment is stamped in the same ink. I can see that the pink layer is a little ratty at the bottom. Time for a new blade***

Check out Sharon's site HERE for all the lovely details and the links to all the other design team's creations... Have a fabulous weekend***

A gift for a friend***

I found this great box to house a cupcake for a friend's birthday.. It is so easy to put together and Valerie's tutorial is a great help. Check it out HERE ***
I used some paper from K & Company and the monogram is from Just Rite.

Enjoy***

Housewarming card***

My niece and her boyfriend just bought a house (I have 16 nieces and nephews).

The floral image is by Penny Black which I stamped in Versafine Majestic Blue and colored quickly with Prismacolor pencils.
I added a little glitter glue to the tops of the flowers and added some antique linen ink around the edges.
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the ribbon is from Michael's.
The designer paper is from my bit box**
Enjoy everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Heart Day***

Edit*** The heart image is from Inkadinkado***
Hi all!! Just a quick Valentine's Day card today... I had this image which I think is Impression Obsession***
I will check and get back to you if it isn't.
It was embossed in Queen's Gold embossing powder.. It was in my little stash of images to be used!
I distressed it with Fired Brick and Worn Lipstick distress inks.
The sentiment is I.O. as well sent to me last year by my good friend Julie Koerber!!!
I used a piece of torn vellum and embossed the sentiment in Queen's Gold E.P. and added some pearl accents.
A little ribbon and a flourish on the card base in versamark ink and we are DONE!!!
Have a great day everyone!! I am working at our local stamp store this week as the owners are at CHA!! Plus I still have a few mounds of laundry to do! Have a fabulous day and thanks SO much for stopping by...

SSNOTIME71*** A MODERN TWIST!!!

Hey everyone!! Time for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge for this week!! This week we were challenged to make cards with our interpretation of "modern"*** I must admit I struggled with this one... To me modern means clean lines, no fuss, no muss. No bows, no ribbons just to the point. I love black with anything so I paired black linen cardstock with a beige cardstock with a bit of a black fleck in it... The designer paper is from my bit box but I love the lines in the design.
The sentiment is not frilly or loosey goosey *** How do you like those architectural terms huh??
My husband would roll his eyes about now...
Hope you enjoy and please go to Sharon's site HERE for all the details and to see how everyone on the team interpreted MODERN!!!

Have a great weekend***

Valentine Hearts and Dots***

Hi everyone!! Here are a couple of Valentine's cards that I made using Kim Hughes "Hugs & Kisses" collection. The little tags are from Staples. I used Tim Holtz distress inks in Fired Brick and Ages Mahogany and a little water. I stamped the images with Aged Mahogany and attached them to the red cardstock that was cut out using the long rectangular spellbinders die.
On the one I added three dew drops and the other three gemstones. The ribbon is from Michael's and the designer paper is from Wild Asparagus "Me & My sister" dots...
I LOVE this paper too. Polka dots are just so wonderful***
Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by***

I added some gemstones to the four corners. The little candle is from the same set and I added some smaller gemstones to it as well.
The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye - Celebrate "beach" dots!!
I LOVE it!!! The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink!!

You Warm My Heart***

This card uses a set designed by Kim Hughes called "Hugs & Kisses"...
I stamped the cup with chocolate brown ink onto white cardstock. I used my spellbinders dies to cut out the white and red cardstock, then colored the edges a bit with Antique linen distress ink. The cup was colored with gamsol and prismacolor pencils. I stamped the heart again in red ink and added it.
The sentiment is stamped on a circle and then matched onto a red circle. I trimmed off the bottom to fit the card.
The designer paper is from the Bittersweet collection by Basic Grey called Almond Toffee.
A little sparkle and a little ribbon and done!!
Have a great day everyone***

Notes for a Friend***

Nichole Heady had this great little project on her site which I just had to recreate for my sister-in-law!!
I used a stamp set from Martha Stewart for the letters and medallion, Kraft cardstock from Papertrey Ink and red linen cardstock.
The polka dots are also from Papertrey Ink stamped in their Vintage cream ink.
I love this project. It came together so easily with Lauren Meader's template
"Desk Top Organizer".
Have a great day everyone and thanks so much for stopping in***

Warm Winter Wishes***

I continued on with the "Winter" theme today***
Last night we had dinner with friends and I made this for them to take home.
This box is one of Anna Wight's creations.
The designer paper is from my bit box. The sentiment is also from Anna's "Winter schminter" set.
The snowflake is made with a rusty tin snowflake, then a blue snowflake punched out and covered with Diamond dust and then a smaller snowflake punched out and glittered with Prisma glitter and THEN a gemmy snowflake from Hero Arts in the middle.
I filled the box with choclate from a new choclate shop here in town. Pecan clusters, caramel, and almond clusters. Also some ghiardelli squares.
Yummy!!!
The dimensions for my box are as follows:
2- 4" x 9" pieces of cardstock - scored at 4" and 8" and then 1/2 " on the long side
2 - a little less than 4" square
2 - 2" x 12" pieces of designer paper to wrap around the box.
Have a great day everyone and thank you so much for stopping in***

SSNOTIME69*** IT'S STILL WINTER

It's time again for Sharon's Stamp Simply Weekly Challenge... Today it's all about winter...
It sure is still winter here in London, Ontario.. We had about 6 inches again here today.
So I shovelled and then I made this card... And I am telling you this is SIMPLE***
The paper is from Jenny Bowlin and if you look close the shapes resemble snowflakes.
The inchie is from an Inkadinkado set which I thought appropriate for this challenge.
I stamped it in black and matted onto cream cardstock. I added some glitter and then covered the inchie with Diamond Glaze. Kind of hard to see in this picture but it has that glitz and shine to it... That was the longest part of this card - waiting for the Diamond Glaze to dry.
Check out Sharon's site HERE for all the details and I hope you can play along***
Also take a look at the rest of the design team's creations***
Have fun everyone***

You know I just love these American Art Stamps designed by Karen Stolper. The lovely bride is stamped in black archival ink on white textured prism cardstock. A little glitter on the veil and a little light pink Copic here and there and it is done.
I layered to copper mirri card and some lovely designer paper that I had with cream and white swirl in it.
The ribbon is from Michael's and the bead pin is from Stampin Up.
Thanks for stopping in today***
Have a good one!!

Laughter is the Best Medicine***

Good morning everyone!! This stamp is from Penny Black and was in one of the baskets beside my work table so I thought I would use it.. It is stamped in Black archival ink and colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsol.
I edged the cardstock with both Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo distress inks and layered to navy blue linen cardstock.
The sentiment is from a set created by Anna Wight with a button and twine added.
The designer paper is from Wild Asparagus.
Thanks so much for stopping in!! HAVE A FABULOUS DAY***

Out of This World***

I created this card for my niece who will be two this month. I had this set called "Rocketz" from Stampendous and thought the spaceship would be cute. I popped it up a few times to make it look like it was flying into outer space.
The colors on this card look much better in real life.. It is early here and dull..
The paper is from my bit box and actually so is the ribbon. The spaceship and the star swirl are embossed in platinum embossing powder.
The sentiment from the same set for the inside says" You are Out of this World"..
Have a great day everyone!! and thanks for stopping by!!

LET'S HELP PAT***

My good friend Pat from "Rubber Maid" has a wonderful project on the go.. She volunteers at her local hospital and has been asked to make 1000 Valentine's Day cards for the children and young adults whose stays in the hospital are extended.

Pat has had a wonderful response so far but I am sure there are lots of you out there that can lend a hand.

See Pat's site HERE for all the details and e-mail her with a pledge of cards.

What a wonderful thing to start the New Year off with.

Here is my contribution. A whole batch of ATCs that the kids can give to other children in the hospital or friends or family.
