A Great Find***

I found these date books for 2010 at Michael's a few weeks ago and they were $1.50 each... I snapped up a whole bunch, tore off the plastic covering and recovered in some wonderful designer paper from Fancy Pants.

I added my sister-in-law's initial, (a Brayton font from Just Rite), some ribbon and some vintage buttons from PTI!!!

These will make great little gifts for everyone on my list!!!

Just for You***

This image is from Whipper Snapper Designs.

I stamped it in Memento Black ink and just colored it with Lyras. No gamsol, just the pencils.

A little glitter was added, and some gemstones. The ribbon is from Making Memories***

A super simple birthday card!! The designer paper is Two Scoops. The image and sentiment are from the new PTI set "Mod Squad"...

A little stitching and a few gemstones and there you have it!!

Wedding Bells***

Wedding bells will be chiming next weekend for my girlfriend's daughter...

I apologize for the photo.. We have had nothing but rain here for weeks. Do the sunshine dance for next Saturday. Julia's wedding is an outdoor one!!!

This image if from Hero Arts, stamped in versamark and embossed with Queen's Gold E.P.

Hard to see in this photo but I just touched the flowers and leaves with yellow and green Copic markers.

The flourish image is from PTI, stamped in Gold ink.

SSNOTIME97***FRUIT OF THE VINE***

Fruit of the Vine - Fruit, the perfect summer snack, or even meal! I love it! Today let us whip up some fruity type of creation during this time of year when fruit is so plentiful everywhere. I'm sure most everyone has some fruit stamps, or images, and if you don't, how about trying to create some fruit with punches? Or, if you really need to stretch it, how about some *orange* ribbon, watermelon paper, etc. I think you get the idea -- just get fruity and have a little fun!

Here is my little creation!! I just received the new releases from Papertrey Ink and decided to use the Everyday Button Bits set. The leaves and stems image is stamped in Ocean Tides ink and some buttons from my stash used as the cherries. The sentiment is from the same set.

The designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket. It is the Farmer's Market series. Appropriate I thought.

The ribbon is from Sharon Johnson's Ribbon store...

The flowers have a little Diamond glaze put on them for dimension.

As most of you that visit often know, I am part of an absolutely awesome design team *** STAMP SIMPLY***, headed up by the equally awesome SHARON JOHNSON !!!And NOW I can say that with absolute certainty because I had the pleasure of meeting her this past weekend and spending time with her AND JULIE KOERBER, AAAAAAAAAAND TAMMY HERSHBERGER AAAAAAAAAAAAND JOAN FRICKER AAAAND DARLENE PAVLICK AAAND PAT ADAM....
We stamped and shopped and laughed and ate and had a fabulous weekend.***

Apron Magic***

Hi everyone!!! Anna Wight has a cute little apron template on her site... I copied the template onto some designer paper from my stash and cut it out.

I also cut out the pocket and used the other side of the paper and added some stitches in green embroidery floss.

The ribbon and buttons are PTI...

The sentiment and the inside image are from Crafty Secrets - their journalling notes. I just cut them up to fit the card...

SSNOTIME96***LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Time again for Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge!! and it's all about the..............





Little Black Dress - The staple of every women's wardrobe -- or so they say. How many of you actually HAVE a little black dress? Today's challenge is to make a project of understated elegance using black and white. If you need to add in a little pop of another color, that's fine, as long as the project is primarily black and white and its overall feel is that of understated elegance.

I used a Penny Black image embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used Black Soot distress ink to smoosh over the image, wiping clean the flowers. I roughed up the edges of the paper, matted to black cardstock and then to white after adding some black ribbon. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink

Flower Soft***

I was in Scrappin Great Deals the other day, a fabulous scrapbooking store here in London and Sheila had these ready made cardlets so I picked up a few along with some Flower soft. What a great way to put together a quick and easy AND FAST card.

I sprinkled the Sweet Pea flower soft onto parts of the image, added a sentiment from Papertrey Ink, matted to green, added some ribbon and a button from PTI - whew - and then matted to kraft card stock.

Hearts a plenty***

This is a simple anniversary card made from Papertrey Inks "Heart Prints" set. One of the heart images was stamped in Denim Adirondack ink and one in pink chalk ink, cut out and mounted with foam tape.

Easy peasy for a Sunday!!

SSNOTIME95*** SPARKLE*SPARKLE*SPARKLE

Today's Stamp Simply challenge is to incorporate LOTS of sparkle into your card. When I bought this little Bella stamp in Toronto a while ago I thought she would look wonderful all glittered up...For my nieces...

She is stamped in Memento ink and colored with Lyras and gamsol and then glittered with Hero Art prisma glitter and a quickie glue pen.

I cut her out with an oval scallop nestabilitie and used some glitter paper from my stash.

A prima flower attached to finish the sparkly, glittery ensemble.

Happy Birthday!!

I just love this new Vintage Picnic set from Papertrey Ink... I stamped it and colored it with Copics.

The funky nestabilitie was cut and then before I took it off I used some distress ink around the edges.

I added a big circle nestabilite and some fabulous purple silk ribbon care of Sharon Johnson.

The DP is 29th Street Market and the sentiment is from the same PTI set!!

A Damask Anniversary***

I had no notion last night what to do so I perused the Papertrey Ink Idea Gallery for their "Damask Design" set and found a card done by Niki Estes...

I loved it so much I recreated it here***

A few minor changes but the colors and placement of ribbons etc. just made me very happy***

STRAWBERRIES FOR A FRIEND***

Sorry about the crappy photo on the left!! We haven't had sun in three days... I managed to find a good time to get the card on the right.

Anyway. The towel is stitched with a pattern from "Bird Brain Designs" *** A freebie***

The image on the card is from Impression Obsession and is stamped with Black Memento ink and colored with gamsol and lyras. I cut it out using my deckle edge nestabilitie and then before I took the die off I used Antique Linen distress ink to make the edges.

The designer paper is K and Company, the ribbon and sentiment from Papertrey Ink and the tag die is a Cuttlebug die.

SSNOTIME94***STARS AND STRIPES THE CANADIAN WAY

Sharon's challenge this week was to use Stars and Stripes in your card. Not necessarily a patriotic card but you can do that if you want to.

Canada Day was yesterday... Canada's birthday and Independence Day is Saturday... I am the token Canadian on this design team... Sooo I thought I would make a card in Canadian colors with stars and stripes...Two great countries side by side!!!

The stars in this card are from Verve and the sentiment at the bottom is from Papertrey!!

Red and white cardstock round out this simple card...

This could be used for an invitation, a birthday card, anniversary card or attached to a bottle of bubbly***
