FOOD***

I have been teaching myself to bake bread from scratch and I LOVE it***.

This is a recipe that I found in the February issue of Martha Stewart magazine.

It is a standard white bread recipe that you can use in many different ways just by varying the ingredients.

And if I do say so myself*** it tasted delicious***

Here are the loaves (the recipe gives you two) turned out of the pans.

The texture of the bread turned out great...
Check out the February issue of Martha Stewart magazine for the recipe or e-mail me and I can send it to you!!

Yum! Your loaves came out fantastic, Janine!

Nothing smells quite as wonderful as breads fresh from the oven.

BTW, when will you be home today ... I'd like to swing by and check 'em out, LOL!

Your bread looks positively delicious! My mom has baked our family's bread for close to 65 years. She always brushes the tops of her loaves with butter (using a pastry brush) when she takes them out of the oven. It makes the crust very tender and tasty.

I'm very impressed with you Miss Janine...sewing, baking, and what's next on your list? Good for you, sounds like big time fun. Love home made bread but I cheat and buy the frozen loaves...let them rise and then bake them. Pat

Yummm I can just smell that bread off the computer!!! the trouble with delicious home made bread is that I eat it all immediately while it's still warm and Islather it with butter - when usually I don't eat much bread at all!!!

great job on this!
