Autumn is truly a beautiful time of year***The changing of leaves from green to a rainbow of rich yellows, oranges and reds, the crunching of the fallen leaves underfoot, the sight and sounds of birds migrating south and the smell of applesauce cooking! I truly love this time of year! Today let us be inspired by Mother Nature in our creations – let’s create something with a natural, earthy feel reflective of ANY season YOU enjoy – it’s the natural/earthy element we are going for here, not necessarily autumn.
When I was in Montreal a few weekends ago, Monica, Lilly and I sat outside and peeled the seeds out of some silver dollar plants. The result are some really pretty branches and these paper thin casings that I kept. I wanted to make a card to thank them both and use the silver dollar casings in some way. I thought I might be able to stamp on them but they are pretty fragile so they are just the focal point of this card. I used a piece of muslin and just frayed the edges and twine to house the sentiment which is from PTI*** These are all natural and earthy elements I think***
