Yvonne at StoneGable is hosting "On The Menu Mondays"... Click on the button on my side bar and it will take you to her site.. Lots of gorgeous pictures, recipes and treats!!!

I started with some herbs from the container on my deck... Rosemary, oregano and parsley.
Added a little basil...

Chopped the herbs up along with two large cloves of garlic, added some red chili flakes, and lemon zest along with the juice of half a lemon. Put the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a bag along with all the goodness and marinated them ALL day!!

Corn from the market rubbed with olive oil, salt and pepper and the other half lemon ready for the BBQ!!!

Everybody off the grill ready for dinner***

Set up outside for a nice leisurely dinner***

A quick salad to go along with dinner.. a citrus vinaigrette too!!

I added some capers on top of the grilled chicken and squeezed the grilled lemon on top as well. When you grill lemons they get SO juicey... delicious***

juice of 1 lime
juice of 1 lemon

I love you little herb pot. I need to do this as I only have 2 patio spaces...but now I think it would work. The lemon chicken will be on my list of must-do's. I'm coming over from Yvonne's place...so nice to meet you.
What a yummy dinner, Janine. I can't wait for fresh corn to appear at the farmer's market. Love that you grilled the lemon for the chicken. I'm on my way over to Yvonne's now.
Janine,
This menu is perfect for a summer evening! And it is so full of summer flavor!
I love your herb garden! Mine is rioteous right now and I'll be making this chicken using some of my herbs... and lemons!

Your meal looks wonderful. I see your lovely herbs in the tub. I have all my lettuce in an antique french Bath Tub right outside my kitchen door. I don't have to walk far to get a salad. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Yum. I just started growing my own basil and hope to grow some other herbs soon! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
My mouth is watering over your herbed chicken and corn. Now I've got to go add that to my menu for next week. I've not done corn on the cob on the grill before, but it will be fun to try it. Thanks for sharing.
