Fun little squares***

Hi everyone!! I was looking through some stamps and found this one by Magenta and created this card with it.

I colored the images "times three" with Copic markers and then cut out the little squares.

Onto black, onto white and then onto black again with a little border in between all the squares.

Some black satin ribbon from Michael's and a tiny sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

Sympathy***

I needed a sympathy card today. My image is from Whipper Snapper design, stamped in Versamark ink and colored with Copics. Simply layered on black and pink cardstock with a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

Can't forget those guys***

I have a rash of birthdays for guys this month so I decided to make a few cards all out of my bit bin.

I used a gate fold card... 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" , scored at 2 1/8" on either side. I found all kinds of bit to use on the panels. I used the card horizontally instead of vertically. The image is a PTI stamp from the Masculine Motifs set, inked in Sepia archival ink. A few co-ordinating dew drops were added to the bottom of the panel.

I love bit bin cards.

Masking***

I was wandering through Simon Says' blog the other day and came across their masking tutorial.

I haven't "masked" in quite a while so thought I would brush up. Check it out HERE***

I used a retired set from Stampin Up along with distress inks. The background is also the French Script stamp from Stampin Up as well.

Birthday Flowers***

I used a new Verve set that I received a little while ago to create this simple row of flowers, colored with Copics and then I added some yellow stickles in the middle.

Just some papers out of my bit bin, using the scallop die from PTI and a Happy Birthday sentiment from them as well.

Really loved one of the cards Nichole Heady did this month for her release so used the sketch and made a few birthday cards.

Dinner for One***

My husband has been away all week at a trade show so tonight I thought I would treat myself to a lovely dinner... Dinner for me*** I scour food blogs, watch the Food Channel ALL the time and read cookbooks*** It all started with this recipe for Ceasar Salad Dressing from Stone Gable.

I set a lovely table. Nothing fancy. A candle and a lovely plate from a friend.

This is the fish I made. Check out Giada de Laurentis' recipe HERE. I didn't have branzino so I used cod fillets which can withstand high heat cooking.


My lovely salad...


Potatoes... very simple... Boil some small red potatoes until fork tender, cool slightly, smash with the palm of your hand and fry in some olive oil, salt and pepper.

Yummy meal***

Wish my husband could be here to share it with me.



Delicious nonetheless. There is something therapeutic about cooking for yourself.

Valentine's Banner***

Hi everyone!!! I just completed this Valentine's Day banner. I am so sorry the pictures aren't great but you can get the general idea.

I used Kraft cardstock and the Papertrey Ink Banner Builder set to creat the "flags" of the banner.

I then used Walnut stain distress ink to ink all around the edges of all the pieces.

In my great stash of papers, I found the pad of papers by Tim Holtz and just used an assortment of them to create the flag inserts and the rosettes. I used Tim Holtz's rosette die to complete those.

I had some chipboard letters by Basic Grey that were just bare so I added some pink glitter to them and attached them to the rosettes.

The hearts on the ends are a Sizzix die cut out of chipboard and then covered in some leftover paper.

I added some dew drops to the banner in various places and then attached all the flags to a piece of ribbon with double sided tape.

It was SO much fun to make***

Sewing for Me***

Today I did a little sewing and made myself a little makeup case... I have a bunch of material waiting to be used so I decided today was the day..

A great way to used a few of Tim Holtz's baubles too***

Birthday Wish***

This is a Tim Holtz inspired tag that I made for a birthday this month. I really just dragged out all my Tim Holtz stamps and played around with what looked best at the time.

Distress inks were added to the tag and then I used the distressor to rough up the tag all the way around.

Some gems and baubles were added and a little wish ticket as well.

I haven't done it yet but will add a piece of cardstock to the back with a Happy Birthday sentiment.

Birthday Banner***

This is a little birthday banner I did for my niece's daughter's first birthday. Sorry for the horrible photo. One of these days I will learn how to take good pics.

Anyway... Used PTI's banner set to make the banner pieces, inserts and toppers. I then used Tim Holtz's rosette die to make the rosettes. I added a sparkly # 1 to the middle rosette and then added some purple rhinestones to complet the banner. Some purple satin ribbon rounds out the ensemble.
